Our Vision: A humane community where no pet suffers or is euthanized because veterinary care is out of reach.

Our Mission: To reduce preventable death, suffering, and shelter intake of companion animals by making essential veterinary care accessible for families and the animal welfare community throughout Western North Carolina.

What we do: We deliver high quality spay/neuter services, preventative care, and emergency medical assistance to families and rescue organizations facing financial barriers.

The Need: North Carolina consistently ranks among the states with the highest rates of pet euthanasia, driven largely by overpopulation and lack of access to veterinary care. When families and animal welfare organizations have access to affordable spay/neuter services and essential veterinary care - fewer animals are born into crisis, preventable illness and premature death are reduced, and fewer pets enter the shelter system. By addressing access barriers upstream, we reduce the number of pets entering the euthanasia pipeline.

Since 2004, we’ve been a lifeline for families in Macon County and across Western North Carolina, providing access to affordable veterinary services that keep pets healthy and at home.
